Volunteer role: Warehouse Manager
Volunteer warehouse manager (Barking, Monday-Saturday, 2-3 days per week including 4 hours on Saturdays)
As our foodbank’s warehouse manager you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our warehouse, supporting volunteers, coordinating activities and being the main point of contact for handling queries for the duration of the session as well as providing leadership to the volunteers at the warehouse.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Contributing to the smooth running of the food bank
Liaise with current and potential food donors, current voucher referral agencies, Trussell Trust area manager, food bank centres and other relevant local voluntary and statutory agencies
Overseeing the management of stock levels
Coordinating the annual audit and stock take
Supporting the Food bank manager to monitor and respond to phone and email enquiries
Ensure food bank policies and procedures are being followed
Supervising food bank volunteers

Strong team player
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated and able to carry out responsibilities with minimum supervision
Strong communicator
Confident recording, handling and analysing data
Confident IT user
Confident to take part in regular light and heavy lifting
