How to get help

To access our services, you will need a foodbank voucher. Here is how to get one:

Option 1. Get in touch with us.

You can call us on 02086 170 660, or email us on [email protected]. We will then be able to either organise a voucher for you, or put you in touch with a referral partner who can help. Our office hours are 12-4:30pm on a Thursday and 2-4:30pm on a Friday, but we are often available outside of these times.

Option 2. Reach out to the Citizen’s Advice Bureau

Alternatively you can call the Citizen’s Advice Bureau who will discuss your situation with you and supply you with a foodbank voucher where appropriate. To speak to a trained, independent agent from the charity, you can call 0808 2082138 for free, Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm.

Option 3. Speak to a referral partner

We work with charities, agencies and health and social organisations across the borough. These include LBBD’s Homes and Money Hub, Sue Bramley Children’s Centre, The Source, health, social and probation workers, schools and the NELFT NHS foundation trust. If you are receiving support from an agency, ask if they can refer you – or get in touch with the most appropriate group from the links above.

Once you have a voucher, you can bring it to your nearest foodbank

You can find a list of our local centres and opening times here. When you arrive, we will ask you some questions and discuss any dietary needs you may have. We will then be able to exchange your foodbank voucher for a parcel of three days of emergency food. Due to the coronavirus, our sessions will often run outdoors, so be sure to bring a coat if needed and we will sort your food as quickly as possible.

If you have any further questions our FAQ’s page may help, or feel free to give us a call.
