Give Help
Volunteer
Volunteers are at the heart of HFT-Barking Foodbank. Your skills and time can make a real difference.
We believe volunteering should be rewarding, and there are many ways you can get involved. Whether you can offer a few hours a week or more, if you’re aged 18+ and passionate about supporting others, we’d love to have you join our team.
Volunteers at HFT-Barking Foodbank can expect:
– Comprehensive induction and training
– Insight into the day-to-day operations of our foodbank
– The opportunity to be part of a community-driven effort to combat food poverty
– A supportive and friendly environment alongside other volunteers and staff
All volunteer roles are subject to two personal references and a trial period.
If you’re interested in joining our dedicated team of volunteers, please click on the below links to find out more and apply! No matter what role you choose, you’ll be making a significant impact in the lives of those in crisis.

We bring in new volunteers regularly, but there is sometimes a waiting period between intakes while we introduce a new group of volunteers. In case an opportunity you are interested in is full, please check back again in a few weeks to see if it has re-opened. There may also be a few weeks wait between your application and being invited in for a trial shift, but we will respond as soon as we start bringing in the next group of volunteers. Thank you so much and we look forward to hearing from you!
